One game into the Pine Forrest match Sept. 12 and it seemed as though the Navarre High School volleyball team might again walk away without a win.
Despite playing without assist and service ace leader, Danielle Pearl, the Raiders immediately gave the Eagles all they could handle.
After losing the opening and the third game, the Raiders bounced back to win games two and four.
With the match on the line, the Raiders put together a couple of timely service streaks and won the fifth game, giving them their first victory of the year.
Kelly Barrett filled in admirably for Pearl, providing near perfect sets for the Raider front line. She had 22 assists on the night.
