The Navarre High School varsity football team is confident, but not cocky and there are plenty of reasons why.
The Raider defense is loaded this year and they have a lot of pride in their unit.
“The ‘D’ is made up of mostly juniors,” free safety, Demetrius Brown said. He is one of only two seniors on the defensive side of the ball.
“Although we are young, most of us either started or had significant playing time last year,” he said.
Although the defensive front has several new faces this year, it will not affect the Raiders, according to junior safety and running back, Jay Warren.
“We are much faster and stronger than last year,” Warren said. “There is no doubt that the defense will be better than last year.”
