Raider weightlifters Nolan LeMaitre, Virgilio Hunter and D’Wayne Carter each finished in the top four places in their weight category in the State Qualifier Meet held at Fort Walton Beach on March 30. However, they will not know for anther week whether they will compete in the state championship held in Kissimmee on April 16.
According to meet officials, only the first place finisher in each weight division was guaranteed a spot to compete in the state meet. All of the second, third and fourth place finishers from each of the nine sectional meets are entered into a lottery. The top 10 lottery finishers will be chosen to fill out the competitors for each weight class.
