Navarre High School’s baseball Raiders held on to beat Escambia 4-3 March 8 and had the go-ahead runs on base in gut-wrenching losses to Pace, 4-2, and Milton, 6-5, Friday and Saturday. The loss at Milton left Navarre with a 4-5 record overall, 2-4 against District 1-5A competition.
The Raiders played just three of their first nine games in Navarre, but started a stretch of six straight home games against Ezell-Harding High School from Antioch, Tenn., on March 14. The Raiders were scheduled to play Prattville, Ala., Christian Academy on Tuesday, March 15; Gulf Breeze March 17; and Harrison County High School from Cynthiana, Ky., on March 23 before resuming district play with back-to-back home games against Tate and Pine Forest on March 24-25.
