The girls have started the 2011 spring season out strong for the Navarre High School tennis team.
On Feb. 15, the girls won all their matches against Tate, leaving the scores at 7 to 0. The boys’ team eventually had to call a tie, according to tennis coach Rob Whitley.
“Boys tied because it got dark, and they had to call it. They were up 7-6 in the match, but needed 8. So the coach and I agreed to leave it at 3-3.”
