Lady Raiders weightlifters remain undefeated

Kayla Poole won her division with a combined lift of 420

How good are the Navarre Lady Raider weightlifters? On Jan. 6, the Raiders expected to be tested as they met undefeated Mosley at home.

“They have not lost a match in three years,” Raider Coach Aaron Daniel said. “Mosley finished seventh in the state last year.”

The big showdown never materialized, as the meet was no contest, with the Raiders winning easily 60-28. The Raiders first place finishers were Alyssa Jones, Jameeka Anderson, Shelby Weidenhamer, Shanice Warren, Hannah Irby, Jasmine Anderson and Kayla Poole.
