Santa Rosa County Commission enact new landfill moratorium

Read more...At its regular meeting on Dec. 9, the Santa Rosa County Board of Commissioners approved a motion to impose a moratorium on permitting private construction and demolition (C&D) landfills pending adequate financial assurance for closure. Prior to the commissioners approving the motion without objective, there were discussions about the details of the moratorium.
