Man arrested in Helen Back stabbing

Joseph Canet, 36, of Navarre was arrested Dec. 26 for aggravated battery after allegedly cutting someone outside of Helen Back Again in Navarre.

According to a Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office report, an officer responded to Helen Back around midnight Dec. 26 and spoke to Canet at the bar. He said his oldest son came to him earlier and told him a group of people were calling him names. Canet asked his son which person had called him a name and the son pointed out a white male who was wearing a black New York hat.
