Two injured in motorcycle accident

Two Navarre residents were injured in a motorcycle accident near Andorra Street.

According to a Florida Highway Patrol report, Kellan Seiwert, 21, of Navarre was traveling northbound on Andorra Street about 4:30 p.m. Dec. 12 and accelerated from the stop intersection of Andorra and Fourth Street. Seiwert popped the clutch of the motorcycle causing the front wheel to elevate from the roadway.

This action caused Seiwert to loss control and her motorcycle overturned on its left side. The motorcycle slid about 55 feet before striking a 6-inch concrete curb. Both the driver and the passenger Denny Ellis, 21, of Navarre were ejected. Ellis’ back struck the curb causing his injury. Life Flight transported Ellis to Baptist Hospital for his serious injuries.

Seiwert suffered minor injuries and was transported to Gulf Breeze Hospital. FHP reported that charges were pending.
