Mother arrested for assaulting family members

Lori Velazquez, 44, of Navarre was arrested Nov. 16 for assaulting several of her family members at a home on Wilburn Drive.

An officer responded to Wilburn Cove in reference to a disturbance. According to the Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s incident report, the victim stated that his estranged wife came over to his residence and began threatening everyone present. He said Velazquez began driving her vehicle into the yard in an attempt to hit him, their son and daughter. He said she also tried to ram her vehicle into their daughter-in-law’s vehicle which contained their two grandchildren.
