Santa Rosa County’s annual Beaches to Woodlands Tour will celebrate its 10-year anniversary next year, but some members of the Tourist Development Council are questioning whether the TDC should continue to financially support the month-long event.
During a Nov. 14 TDC south-end committee meeting, south end committee member Ira Mae Bruce questioned whether Beaches to Woodlands was meeting the TDC’s goal of “putting heads in beds,” which increases the amount of bed tax collections. Bed tax money is used to promote county tourism through advertising.
