Two men were transported to the hospital for unknown injuries at 4:30 p.m. Oct. 11 after two cars collided at the Intersection of Coral Street and U.S. Highway 98.
Danny Isaacs, 65, of Navarre was driving eastbound on U.S. 98 and attempted to turn left onto Coral Street. According to the Florida Highway Patrol report, Isaacs turned into the path of Alexander Kelley, 24, of Gulf Breeze, who was driving west on U.S. 98.
The front of Isaac’s Jeep struck the left side of Kelley’s Nissan sedan. FHP reported that the Jeep rotated counterclockwise and came to rest in the westbound lanes facing west. The sedan veered onto the northwest corner of the intersection and struck a traffic signal control box.
Isaacs was transported to Baptist Hospital for minor injuries and Kelley was transported to Baptist for serious injuries. Isaacs’ passenger Dorothy Isaacs, 56, of Navarre suffered minor injuries but was not transported.
According to FHP, charges for Isaacs are pending further investigation.
