UPDATED: SRC schools closing for Isaac Tuesday and Wednesday

Santa Rosa County School District has closed schools in the district on Tuesday, Aug. 28 and AND Wednesday, Aug. 29 as well, due to Hurricane Isaac. Escambia County Schools are also closed Wednesday. Okaloosa and Walton Counties will have school on Wednesday, August 29.

Good Afternoon parents and employees,
After the 10 am briefing, we are closing school on Wednesday. Currently SRC is under a tropical storm warning that will not expire until 4 am Wednesday morning. Transporting students to school and requiring employees to travel to work with a known warning is simply not safe. No lesson is worth placing our students and employees in harms way. Students and employees should prepare to return to school on Thursday.
