Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office investigators are currently working cases involving a group of (5) black females who shop lifted several hundred dollars worth of liquor from local liquor stores in Navarre and in Gulf Breeze.
The group is believed to be from Alabama. Surveillance video was obtained from the Navarre store (Navarre Liquors) located at 1884 Andorra Street. The theft at this location occurred on June 11, 2012. The video shows the groups enter the store and start stealing the bottles of liquor. They can be seen putting bottles down their pants, in their shirts and into their purses. The group appears to be very well coordinated; knowing where the cameras are as they try to block their coverage. One female in the group (wearing the red shower cap) targets the clerk and can be seen distracting him as much as possible. A second incident (believed to be the same suspects) occurred on June 26, 2012 at Fusion Wine and Spirits in Gulf Breeze.
Area liquor stores should look at the video of the group and become familiar with their methods of operation to possibly prevent further thefts. Anyone with information concerning the identity of the suspects is asked to contact Detective Danny Aloy at 850-981-2255, or Crime Stoppers at 850-437-STOP (7867).
