A four-vehicle accident at U.S. Highway 98 and Orion Parker Boulevard sent one victim to the hospital at 12:30 p.m. July 16 when the driver of a Cadillac Escalade made a left turn into oncoming traffic.
Drivers of several of the vehicles involved in the crash stated that the driver of the Cadillac, who was headed southbound on Orion Parker Boulevard made an left turn into the eastbound lane of U.S. 98 while the light was green for U.S. 98 traffic.
The Cadillac, driven by Charlotte Moody, 32, of Navarre, hit a white working van which was in the passing lane, headed westbound on U.S. 98. The van then hit a white Oldsmobile, which then struck a red Nissan, causing all four vehicles to sustain damage, according to Florida Highway Patrol Trooper Rittenhouse.
Moody was taken to Fort Walton Beach Medical Center for minor injuries. FHP reported that Moody was charged with the violation of a traffic control device.
