The Navarre Beach Fire Department responded to a vehicle accident involving a motorcycle at 1:57 p.m. on June 15 on White Sands Boulevard on Navarre Beach.
Fire Chief Mike Howard reported that when his crew arrived on the scene, he saw that a young male had been driving a scooter with a group of other riders. The 17-year-old male tourist from Mississippi rear ended another rider in the group.
“They were all riding together,” Howard said.
However, only the one driver was injured. Howard reported he has a possible broken leg and severe road abrasions. The injured minor was transported to Baptist Hospital in Pensacola by EMS bus. The NBFD was assisted by Holley-Navarre Fire Department.
At press time, Florida Highway Patrol is investigating the accident and more information will be available upon release.
