Baby gorilla gets a name

The first gorilla to ever be born at Gulf Breeze Zoo has finally been named.

 The zoo received thousands of name suggestions from not only the local community or across the nation, but internationally as well.  It took zoo staff over a month to sort through the suggestions and agree on just one, and Kigali was it. Kigali is the capital of Rwanda.

 "We wanted a name befitting of a 400-pound male silverback gorilla," said Zoo Director Kayte Wanko. "It's hard to imagine him like that now, at only 9.5 pounds, Breezer has great significance and Chubbers is really cute, but I don't think they would hold up five years from now."
