Navarre senior running back Dwayne Carter rushed for more than 200 yards and three scores Friday, but it wasn't enough against Pensacola Catholic. The Crusaders fell behind 14-0 and 17-7 in the first quarter at Bennett C. Russell Stadium, but rallied to rout the Raiders 43-24.
Catholic, a Class 3A squad, improved to 2-3 with the win. Navarre, a Class 6A team, fell to 2-3.
Carter has rushed for 500-plus yards and nine touchdowns in the last two games.
After playing four of their first five games at home, the Raiders will play four of five games on the road to finish the regular season. Navarre resumes District 2-6A play Friday at Choctawhatchee. The Raiders are 1-0 in district play.
