Navarre man recovering from stab wound

A Navarre man was taken by Life Flight to a Pensacola hospital for treatment of a stab wound to the abdomen last night.

Santa Rosa County Sheriff's deputies responded to a home on the 8200 block of Toledo Street about 6:48 p.m. Sept. 6. Deputies found Kenneth Panzarella, 29, of Navarre, had been stabbed in the stomach, the result of an altercation between Bobby Lee Beard, according to a press release issued by the sheriff's office.

Panzarella's girlfriend told deputies that Beard had stabbed Panzarella.

Deputies searched the area and found Beard underneath a trailer not far from the incident. Due to the lack of cooperation and compliance from the suspect, he was tazed twice and pepper sprayed in order to be taken into custody.

Beard was arrested on charges of aggravated battery.

Beard, 28, has no known address.
