Navarre man dies in crash at Fountainebleu Court

A Navarre man lost control of his vehicle last night, crashing into the wall at Fountainebleu Court, killing himself.

Juan Alberto Arreola-Vazquez, 31, was pronounced dead at the scene shortly after 9:25 p.m. Aug. 10. According to a Florida Highway Patrol press release, Vazquez was traveling east on U.S. Highway 98 when he lost control of the Econoline Van he was driving. He "allowed the vehicle to proceed into the grass median," and then over-corrected to return to the highway. In doing so, the van traveled out of the median, through the eastbound lanes of travel and onto the east shouder of Fountainebleu Court. The van then began to overturn at least once before colliding with the concrete wall. Vazquez was partially ejected from the van. It is not known if alcohol was a factor and Vazquez was not wearing a seatbelt.
