When asked why the store is going out of business Finnan simply said, “The economy.
“We put the sign in the window Monday and since then we have gotten a ton of business,” Finnan said.
Customers of the gift boutique did not take the news lightly.
“I am shocked,” said Sierra Stevens, who has been a customer since Finnan took over Papillon’s, which has been in Navarre for about 20 years. “We need more shops like this, but the area just makes it so difficult. You have to support the local businesses.”
