After reading about the financial plight of the Holley-Navarre Fire District in the Aug. 7 issue of Navarre Press, Melissa Wols wanted to help.

The sales director at the Navarre Best Western on Navarre Parkway put together a fundraising package – 10 percent of a guest’s room rate will be donated to the district upon request, for each night they stay.
The offer is good for nights booked Monday through Thursday until the end of August.
“Everyone is asking to donate money to the zoo and for other things, but in the event of a fire, who will help you?”  Wols said.  “We read the article and wanted to help. We wanted to acknowledge the fire department and let them know we care. We know we can’t live without them.”
