NHS grad aces seven AP exams

Jordan Manning’s senior year at Navarre High School held many promises for the young intellectual, including setting records.

A self-proclaimed slacker, it came as no surprise when Manning learned he had passed all seven of his advanced placement exams this summer.
“It was a little hard,” Manning said of the exams. “It depends on the test, but they usually lasted between two and four hours. Each had a multiple choice section, then a free response.”

Out of the 182 seniors who took the AP exams this year, only seven passed five or more: Garrett Casey, Michael Laughlin, Matt Hicks and Morgan Maynard all passed five; and Justin Littlewood and Ryan Williams passed 6.
“I believe this is the first time we’ve ever had a student pass all seven exams,”  said NHS Assistant Principal Mike Brandon said.  “This is the best year Navarre High School has done in AP.”
