Road closure on SR87

Weather permitting; Monday, June 6, through Friday, June 10, there will be intermittent lane closures on State Road  87 between Dean Creek and Bob Tolbert Road.

Traffic will be restricted to one- lane as crews from Anderson Columbia install cross drain pipes at various locations. This drainage work is part of the $15 million multilane project that will widen SR 87 from two to four lanes between Five Forks Road and the Eglin Air Force Base boundary. Variable Message Boards (VBS’s) will be used to alert the traveling public. 

Motorists are reminded to use caution, watch for traffic flaggers, and obey the posted speed limit when driving through the work zone.
