Accident near post office slows traffic

A two-car accident slowed traffic at the intersection of Navarre School Road and U.S. Highway 98 around 11 a.m. May 24.

Karen Lenette, 47 of Navarre, was stopped at the intersection in the right westbound lane of U.S. 98 when Theodore Lemaire, 86 of Navarre, hit her from behind according to the Florida Highway Patrol accident report. The collision propelled Lenette across the intersection and Lemaire ended up on the shoulder of the corner.

There were minor injuries, but neither driver went to the hospital.

Lemaire was charged with careless driving and no proof of insurance.
