Colonel relieved of duty at Eglin

Col. David A. Hlatky was relieved of duty as of March 31 after a command-directed Investigation following allegations of personal misconduct.Maj. Gen. Mark Solo, 19th Air Force commander relieved Col. David A. Hlatky as commander of the 33rd Fighter Wing at Eglin AFB effective today, March 31.

Major General Solo lost confidence in Colonel Hlatky’s ability to command as a result of a Command-directed Investigation following allegations of personal misconduct, according to a press release from the Office of Public Affairs at Randolph AFB, Texas.

The Air Force is prohibited from releasing further information about the dismissal due to the administrative nature of a CDI.

Col. Andrew J. Toth assumed command of the wing as of March 31. He previously served as the executive officer to the commander of Air Combat Command at Langley AFB, Va.

Colonel Hlatky will temporarily remain at Eglin AFB, pending reassignment, according to the release.
