Preston Porter redesigned his No. 35 racecar into a tribute to Ian Lockwood.
The No. 10 car now sports yellow and black theme along with Live Strong and Lockwood written along the side. To make it a full fledge tribute to Ian Lockwood, friends and fellow students of Lockwood at Navarre High School got to sign messages to Ian directly on the car Feb. 11 at the high school. Porter’s idea behind the redesign was to raise money for the University of Florida Shand’s Hospital to find a cure for brain cancer. Those businesses or individuals interested in participating can donate money for each of the 20 laps Porter will race Feb. 19 in the Live Strong car at Southern Raceway.
