County to interview candidates for solid-waste service
The Santa Rosa County Commission will interview the top five bidders that submitted proposals to provide residential solid waste services to the south end of the county beginning at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 15, in the board meeting room at 6495 Caroline St., behind the McDonald's on U.S. Highway 90. Proposals for services include garbage pick-up either once or twice per week, weekly recycling, removal of yard debris every other week, and bulk item disposal on demand at the average bid of $51 per quarter. The franchise area generally includes the unincorporated areas of the 32563 and 32566 zip codes.
