The team from the Tri-County Small Area Studies group held a meeting on April 24 in Milton to gather information and inform the public about upcoming changes being proposed to local properties under the Small Area Studies Project.
Celeste Werner, vice president for Matrix Design Group, the company hired by Walton, Okaloosa, and Santa Rosa counties to prepare the Tri-County SAS for the community, walked the attendees through maps that pertain to Santa Rosa County residents.
The proposed draft actions SRC’s Eglin Military Airport Zone would change recommendations for future projects on land that is adjacent to the Eglin approach zones in the county. Height limitations, sound attenuation guidelines as well as maximum residential density rules may be adjusted for the increased air traffic expected in the local area.
