I'll be home for Christmas

Friends, family and loved ones braved the cold and the early wake up call on Dec. 10 to meet their service members returning from Iraq, Afghanistan, and locations around the world in Hurlburt Field’s Operation Homecoming.

The winds were bitter cold and people had to show up at 5:30 a.m., but they came out in force to await the return of their loved ones.

Kerri Villa and her daughter Katie, age 4, of Navarre waited anxiously for the return of husband and father Technical Sgt. Scott Villa. Bundled in blankets and comfy in her stroller, Katie waved an American flag as she patiently waited for Daddy.
