Raising awareness for rare diseases

When Niesia Garza gave birth her son Daniel, she and her husband Rob, were elated.

The second of two children, Daniel was born May DATE 2006. He was everything the Garza’s had hoped for: happy, rambunctious, adorable and healthy.

“Everything was normal,” Niesia said of Daniel’s growth. “He laughed, ate, cried, and was walking by the time he was 9 months.”
