Michele Fuller, sixth-grade guidance counselor at Woodlawn Beach Middle School, didn’t think her name should have been on the ballot for Teacher of the Year.
So when it was announced that she won the prestigious award from her peers she was shocked.
“I had seen my name on the ballot, I wanted to tell them to take it off but then I forgot about it – I didn’t even get to vote because I was out of town,” she said. “But I’m humbled and honored.”
