Teachers of the Year announced
The Santa Rosa Education Foundation and its partner Santa Rosa Medical Center announced the 33 nominees for Santa Rosa Teacher of the Year. Nominees were selected by their peers at each school throughout the district.
The south-end Teachers of the Year are:
Amy McLendon, Gulf Breeze Elementary
Mary Montcalm, Gulf Breeze High
Annette Nixon, Gulf Breeze Middle
Kristina Spencer, Holley-Navarre Intermediate
Tonya Overholtz Phelps, Holley-Navarre Middle
Beatriz Bailey, Holley-Navarre Primary
Kasie Windfelder, Navarre High
Laura Robinson, Oriole Beach Elementary
Ann Thompson, West Navarre Intermediate
Kim Kayser, West Navarre Primary
Michele Fuller, Woodlawn Beach Middle
The Santa Rosa Teacher of the Year will be announced on Feb. 1, 2013. Nominees will be recognized at Santa Rosa’s Golden Apple Awards celebrating all Santa Rosa teachers on March 1 at New World Landing.
