Reading and fun go hand in hand at Holley-Navarre Primary School’s Scholastic Book Fair, held the week of Sept. 17. Students, parents and community members turned out in force to support the school and score some new reading material.
The fall book fair is one of two book fair fundraisers held yearly to benefit the media center, said Jan Macauley, media center specialist.
“Typically we bring in about $10,000 (in sales),” Macauley said, “We get 25 percent of that. Typically we take it in cash, so we have more flexibility.”
The HNP Scholastic Book Fair is available online through midnight on Sept. 24. Visit the HNP page of Scholastic's Book Fair to shop the book fair and support HNP.
