Santa Rosa County School Board officials began the monthly meeting with awards and recognitions, which included accolades for Navarre High School.
NHS's 2A boys golf team was honored by the Florida Athletic Association for their student academic performance. The team had a cumulative grade point average of 3.9.
NHS seniors Trey Aguire and Tyler Jacobi, were on hand to receive the award with coach David Noles.
Jud Crane, director of purchasing and contract administration, presented awards based on the Healthier U.S. Schools Challenge and Navarre High School was awarded $1,000 for their progress in providing healthier meals to students.
