Just last year, the students at Holley-Navarre Middle School didn’t have a robotics team, a club dedicated to all things engineering, technology and science.
This year, the 14-person group not only had a team; they competed in – and, in some categories, won – a contest that pitted them against some of the most sophisticated clubs in the region.
Last weekend, the HNMS team traveled to Pensacola, where it competed in the Boosting Engineering, Science & Technology, or BEST, robotics team contest at the University of West Florida.
