In fact, most days, he wakes up before dawn to catch a school bus that takes him on a 45-minute trek to the school, a process he said was "kinda tiring."
Last week, Davis ditched the big yellow bus for a decidedly different mode of transportation: his own two feet.
Davis, 10, was one of four students from Holley-Navarre Intermediate School who made up the district's first-ever walking school bus, a group of students who will travel to and from school on foot in an effort to promote healthy living, and to get kids back in touch with the communities that surround them.
