Avalex Technologies opens in Gulf Breeze

Avalex Technologies, Gulf Breeze’s newest high-tech company, hosted a community open house Jan. 7 at its corporate headquarters located at 2665 Gulf Breeze Parkway.

Tours of the new 53,000-square foot facility began at 2 p.m. and lasted until 5 p.m. During that time, members of the local community were able to meet Avalex employees while observing what they do on a daily basis.

Avalex Technologies is a leading supplier of rugged surveillance equipment for military and law enforcement around the world. Its products include moni tors, digital video recorders, mapping systems, and smart displays which are used in the air, on the ground and the water. Founded in 1992, by CEO Tad Ihns, the company and its 65 employees made the move across the bridge from Pensacola to Gulf Breeze in November of last year.
