The stars shine brightly over Navarre First Assembly of God as members perform their third annual Live Nativity event from 6-9 p.m. on Dec. 20-22 at the church located at Whispering Pines and U.S. Highway 98.
Trey Rose, associate pastor, said that with everything that is going on in the United States, with cities being told they can’t do anything to recognize Christmas, the live nativity is a way to remind people of the true meaning of Christmas.
“To represent the birth of Jesus and give the town something different,” said Rose. “And let them enjoy the scenery and holiday.”
The live nativity scene will allow visitors to drive-through or to park and watch. Other activities will include a free petting zoo, including a camel, pony rides at a minimum cost and snacks served with hot chocolate.
Rose invites community members to come and enjoy the live nativity from 6-9 p.m. on Dec. 20-22 at Navarre First Assembly of God or to attend any one of their services.
Service times are Wednesday night at 6:30 and Sunday morning at 8:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.
