Meals together build families

Want to improve your child’s chances of not using tobacco, alcohol of drugs?  Have dinner together as a family.

The Community Drug and Alcohol Council is promoting Sept. 24 as Have Dinner Together Day. The goal is to remind families about the importance of eating dinner together, said Denise Manassa of the CDAC Pensacola office.

“Family Day is a national movement that informs parents that the engagement fostered during frequent family dinners is an effective tool to help keep America’s kids substance free,” wrote Manassa in an email.
