Ahm Yisrael: a Messianic Synagogue

The term rabbi probably conjures up images of old Jewish men, with long beards, wearing a kippah.

But for Rabbi Wayne Leland, the description doesn’t quite fit. Except for his love of God’s holy word, there are few physical similarities between him and a Jewish rabbi. In Orthodox Judaism, a rabbi is a man qualified in accordance with traditional religious law to expound, teach and rule in accordance with the law. But rabbi is also a title for a religious leader of a congregation or the minister of a synagogue. And that is what Leland is, the religious leader of his synagogue.
