Choices aren’t always easy, especially when a baby’s development is at stake.
Several local mothers are content with the decision they made to forge an alternative path for parenting, but they said they have received unwarranted and unfair criticism from family and friends.
Stephanie Overstreet, describing the hours before her natural home-birth, explained that having a natural child birth at home was an easy choice for her, but not such an easy thing for her and her husband’s family to accept.
“We met some resistance with both sets of our parents,” she explained.
