Drama ministry serves to shed light on faith

In an era where many churches are relying on technology and other up-to-the-minute mediums for spreading the word of Christ, the drama teams at Navarre United Methodist Church are looking within to find meaning.

The 20-member adult team and the 10-member youth group are what member Denise Nichols describes as "constantly-evolving" – a concept she said fuels their performances, and their faith.

"This is definitely not a static group, and I think that's what lends to our creativity," she explained. "At our core, though, our group is solid, just like our faith."

Founded about ten years ago by parishioner Nedra Seal and her daughter, Mandy Garnier, the groups perform on two or three main occasions, usually Christmas, Easter and Vacation Bible School.
