Marine science station seeks expansion

If Charlene Mauro is successful with her endeavors, the footprint of the Navarre Beach Marine Science Station will be that of a giant.

 

Mauro, station director, is in the process of requesting grants from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) and the Gulf Coast Promotional Fund to pay for the expansion.

 

Mauro has diligently worked to garner support from local entities, such as the school board and the Tourist Development Council.
