TDC receives BP advertising grant

Santa Rosa County Tourist Development Council will receive a $491,000 grant for two years from the BP’s Gulf Tourism and Seafood Promotional Fund.

Deepwater Horizon Claims Administrator Patrick A. Juneau announced last week that 110 nonprofit organizations and government entities in the Gulf Coast region had received more than $43 million in the first round of grants from the fund.

James Ellis, President of MDi Media Group, the TDC’s marketing firm, told TDC south-end committee members on Nov. 14 that the money had to be spent on advertising.
