J. Earle Bowden Way is expected to reopen at noon today, Nov. 17. Emergency repair work on the road is complete said Dan Brown, Gulf Islands National Seashore superintendent.
The road was closed for repairs after wind and water from Hurricane Isaac collapsed several parts of the road in late August.
“We are excited that this road will reopen so visitors and the community can once again enjoy this scenic highway,” wrote Brown in a press release.
