Residents and leaseholders of Navarre Beach are doing their best to maintain the island as Florida’s best-kept secret.
“That’s what makes us unique,” said Dave Boggis, a beach resident. “We don’t have a whole lot of high-rises and I’d like to see the density stay down as far as single-family residences on the Gulf.”
Following the Santa Rosa County Board of Commissioner’s meeting last week wherein commissioners approved a draft resolution addressing future development, members of the Navarre Beach Leaseholders and Residents Association met on Saturday to vent their concerns to their newly elected commission representative, Jim Melvin.
