It took nearly a decade, but the hard work of dozens of community activists and local officials has paid off and they are now able to hang their hats – and take up their kick-stands.
The Navarre Beach Causeway bike lane is finally complete.
On Tuesday, cyclists celebrated the opening of the bike path with a ribbon cutting ceremony in the main beach parking lot. Following the event, Santa Rosa County Commission Chairman Gordon Goodin lead the group on an inaugural bike ride across the Navarre bridge and back.
