Fireworks to go off pier July 4

Unless cataclysmic events prevent the pier from opening, the Navarre Beach Fishing Pier will be the site for the July 4 fireworks this year.

"There's no question the marketing value," said Kyle Holley, a member of the Santa Rosa County Tourist Development Council north end committee. "The longest pier; July Fourth fireworks; that's like a new tradition."
