Beach Christmas Eve storm damages the Pearl

Christmas Eve storm damages the Pearl

A short, but violent storm passed through Navarre Beach on Christmas Eve, Dec. 24, 2009, around 7:30 p.m. With the storm came high winds, tornado warnings and scattered lightning. Besides a high surf and sand blown across the streets, the storm appeared to inflict little damage to the beach.

However, JME, property manager of the Pearl, became aware of a problem early Christmas morning.
